After going over facts given me concerning the authenticity of self proclaimed former Hezbollah soldier, Afshin Javid, I decided to do a follow up post on our fraudulent friend.

I learned from a source once close to Afshin, who also wrote his testimonial book, As Easy As Drinking Water, A Muslim Forgiven, that upon review of the allegations, Afshin Javid's testimonial documentary was removed from the the website "A Muslim Journey To Hope." If you're not familiar with the site, it features the testimonies of former Muslims and their conversions to Christ. This is where I first saw Afshin's testimony as many of you probably have as well.

Furthermore, the Truth Unlocked organization also featured Afshin's testimony in their DVD, only to have to go back and completely edit out several segments, discard their entire project stock and remake the DVDs.

Afshin's Pastoral credentials came from the Christian Ministers Association. This organization gives oversight to non-denominational churches. In a weak attempt to discipline Afshin when the scandal broke, the association requested Afshin remove his website and discontinue the sale of his book. When Afshin refused, they revoked his Pastoral credentials, but it's been reported, though not confirmed, that he's been reinstated as a Pastor at Vancouver Christian Fellowship Church.

Afshin is not only suspected and accused of inappropriate sexual behavior among his congregation, but also among his own children. Child and Family Services in Canada has been involved.

Despite the disgrace, blacklisting and more than 400 letters being sent around Canada to various congregations and Pastors warning them against Afshin, he continues to be invited and speak at various events all over the world. If adequately informed, the leaders of these congregations and those in charge of the venues will be held accountable for putting the Lord's flock in danger by inviting a wolf into the fold. This man is dangerous....a wolf in sheep's clothing. He has used a testimony to slip in among sheep to feed his own depraved appetite. As long as there are those willing to invite him in, he will not stop devouring the sheep for his own good and selfish pleasure.

God doesn't deal too kindly with those who prey on the weak. Afshin only needs to read the harsh and terrible example of the Amalekites.

Texas Dad Kills Child Molester

A Texas father caught a 47 year old man molesting his 4 year old daughter behind a barn. After hearing his daughter scream, the dad ran to her aid, found the molester on top of his daughter, pulled him off then beat him to death. No charges have been filed yet against the father and I'll be shocked if any are.

According to Texas penal Code 9:32 (B), this dad had every right to kill the molester. Even if this penal code didn't exist, Texas would be hard pressed to find a judge and jury to convict this guy.

These days with extreme selfishness rampant, where molestation is one of the most least reported crimes, when caregivers commonly protect the molester rather than the victim for selfish reasons and it's swept under the rug, it's shocking to society to hear about someone immediately protecting their child. That's what I find sad about this story.

Police were called to his home about 1 a.m. Friday where he was arrested for punching, choking and hitting his 15 year old daughter with his shoe. His 19 year old daughter also told police her sister was slapped and choked by their father.

Of course he denies it! If he tells the truth he'll lose money. Creflo Dollar has been on the Government's radar for a while. They're just itching to bust him with fraud. It will all end well. The charges will be dropped or significantly reduced because the entire family's lifestyle depends on it. Dollar can't lose that jet. Drive to his next $100,000 speaking engagement to scratch itching ears? Are you insane! That's beneath him....

The Christian And Prozac

Whatever the case may be that a Christian considers taking Prozac, careful thought and a whole lot of prayer need to go into the decision. Though Prozac is wildly successful at treating many mood problems, we  also have to be careful of the "quick fix syndrome" in our society.

It would also be wise to study how others have dealt with severe depression without the aid of a drug, such as Charles Spurgeon and the Prophet Elijah. Suffering is a part of our Christian walk and God uses suffering to teach, mold us and create us into the image of Christ.

Whatever the case may be if you are taking this drug to treat depression, OCD, anxiety, etc., the goal should not be to block the problems we have with Prozac so we can live "happy" and indifferent to the real underlying problems, but to learn how to deal with the underlying problems aided by Prozac so we can eventually handle them without the need of a mood altering drug.

Stress, depression and anxiety all use up serotonin in great quantities that Prozac balances. More importantly than taking medication to alleviate the low levels, one must consider why they are depressed, stressed and anxious to begin with. More often than not, there are many other ways of calming and restoring healthy levels of serotonin. There may just be a gaping, festering wound caused by sin in our lives that we use Prozac to cover up like a band-aid.

Before taking this drug, please consult the Lord and His word first and foremost. Then speak with your Pastor. While it's nice to have a quick fix, in the long run we only do more damage to ourselves.

Here's something that's not a secret: Islam is losing 6 million Muslims a year to Christianity. Islam is NOT the fastest growing religion. In fact, it's in serious decline. Christianity is sweeping through Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Am I surprised this supposedly secret book has been produced in light of the statistical facts that Muslims leaders and clerics are well aware of? Absolutely not.

 Islam also claims the Bible, without this "secret Bible" predicts Muhammad's coming, which is embarrassing for those who claim this because it's glaringly obvious they pick and choose verses and run with it without taking them into context. As I've been saying for years, even while I was Muslim, the claims Islam makes about Scripture and Christianity is so stupid that I cringe and am embarrassed for them. This same Bible they claim predicts Muhammad they also claim is corrupt. This same Bible they claim to honor, they call corrupt. You can't honor, let alone believe, something that is "corrupt". They only honor it when it suits them or they think it backs their beliefs.

I can pull some Scriptures out as well and force them to back my own theories and ideals. That means absolutely nothing. But when taken as a whole, the Bible completely runs contrary to Islam and the Koran. This is why Muslims, who most don't even know the Koran because they don't speak or read Arabic, won't touch the Bible. They've been taught since birth that it's corrupt. When most Muslims do read the Bible, it's not the Bible they turn on, it's their own Koran and beliefs.

Whatever this "book" found is, they are dating it to be 1500 years old. If those dates are even correct, it's still not close to being old enough to challenge the earliest recorded manuscripts of the New Testament alone known to exist and securely dated to 2 AD. Some are believed to be older than that, but requires more testing.

This is how Islam had it's beginnings. "Secret" meetings between a single man in a cave between he and the angel Gabriel. Outside of Judaism and Christianity, every other religion, cult or sect has derived from a "secret" book being found, "secret" encounter between an individual and a spirit/angel or "secret" revelations/visions/voices and has led billions astray. Islam believes Jesus' second coming will be a secret and only a select few will know who He is and it will be up to them to announce Him. Another attempt to deceive the masses.

God can't do anything in the open anymore as He used to. No, He's resorted to doing everything in secret to a select, special few.  That's a cult. That's deceit. That's not God.

Someone asked me once, after I converted: "How many people wrote the Koran?"

I said "One."

He then asked, "How many wrote the Bible?"

I replied "Many."

He said "Exactly."

I was dumbstruck and quite embarrassed for him. He truly believed that argument was valid and proved the Koran to be true. One witness as opposed to many? That wouldn't even stand in our own faulty courts let alone anywhere else. This is eternity we're talking about. This is no light matter. Should people believe one man who came out of a cave with "secret" revelations over a short period of time or 40 men over 1500 years who were not the only witnesses? Let's not forget the millions who witnessed God on the mountain with Moses and heard His voice (Exodus 19:16) or were led by the fiery cloud through the Red Sea. If one witnesses something, you take it with a grain of salt. If many, you believe what you're hearing to be true and accurate. Muhammad would, very well, be diagnosed as schizophrenic nowadays. Jesus cast demons out of people that exhibited the exact same symptoms as Muhammad.

Keep praying for the spread of the Gospel. God is doing a great work in Muslim nations.

Pray for this Pastor and his family. His fate is ultimately up to God not a "prophet" (and I use that term loosely), government or religion. Whatever God so chooses will be meant for His glory and to bring about the salvation of many. Nadarkhani is standing strong because God keeps him standing. What Iran doesn't realize is Nadarkhani's already won because he loves not his life even to death for the sake of Christ (Revelations 12:11) and will lay it down for the Gospel. This act alone, whether he lives or dies, will bring about the spreading of the Gospel in Iran and beyond to a greater extent. It has always been this way and will continue to be. What this Pastor is doing now is an enormous part of what has always spread Christianity like wild fire. God bless him. The Lord will keep him strong for He is able to.

His lawyer, Mohammad Ali Dadkhah is expecting a reversal of the sentence this Saturday from the Iranian Supreme Court. World leaders are calling for all charges and the December 2010 conviction of apostasy to be dropped against Youcef and that he be released from prison.

Iran's State Media (controlled by the government) is reporting that Youcef Nadarkhani isn't being executed for refusing to deny Christianity, but rather for rape. That's convenient. Right. And I'm the headless horseman. Yet the ACLJ found in Iranian Supreme Court documents...

"In a ruling from the Iranian Supreme Court, translated into English by the ACLJ, Nadarkhani was sentenced to execution by hanging for, “turning his back on Islam” and “converting Muslims to Christianity."

Please keep Youcef in your prayers.  If God so chooses that he be put to death for the Gospel, then may God be with him and give him the strength and grace to glorify Christ until his last breath.

First, persecution is nothing new in Iran. Secondly, they can burn every single Bible in the middle east. It's not going to stop the spread of Christianity. They can monitor Internet usage, ban the internet and anything else they view as "western", but it won't stop it or slow it down even remotely.

Iranian officials should take a lesson from a long history of what Christian persecution does. God does the proselytizing Himself  in closed nations. Christianity has always spread exponentially with persecution. "Strike the shepherd" and the sheep grow like Gremlins that have gotten wet. It's the only faith that ever has. Iranian officials are simply fanning the flames and everything they do will have the exact opposite effect. All this says is "God is doing some serious work in Iran".

I was involved with this ministry and dropped out because I found them becoming more and more worldly and less and less Biblical. Their latest attempt "to reach the lost" actually doesn't surprise me. They've been on this road for some time. The excuse they offered for dropping "Christ" from their well known ministry name is weak at best.

This is an example of compromising with the world under the guise to reach the lost. Did Christ ever compromise to seek anyone? Did He ever try to please the world in order to bring in sheep? Not once did He ever. Instead of sticking to foundational doctrine and trusting Christ to bring the sheep in, as Scripture assures He'll do, they throw off that millstone "Christ" that offends so many and hinders their work in order to reach those same people for that millstone. A great example of American Christianity.

They've now openly chosen to amuse the goats all the while claiming it's for Christ. I can only hope this ministry repents. In the mean time they've lost all future support of my household until they do and get back to Bible basics and the Christianity of the Bible.

Is Taiwan Still Here?

Prophet Predicts Taiwan Diasters

A Taiwanese prophet predicted that a 14 magnitude earthquake would hit Taiwan today which would trigger a massive Tsunami of 560 foot waves that would slam the tiny country.....5 days later. Man that is a slow moving tsunami! But I guess it doesn't matter since a 14 richter scale earthquake would kill everything that breathes in Taiwan anyway so the tsunami just becomes a moot point. What's left of Taiwan would end up next to San Francisco at that rate.

This prophet then advised his followers to stock up on supplies and hide inside shipping containers. He claims the containers would be much safer during the ginormous earthquake.

Really? Why not just go sit in a car parked outside a high rise? At a size 14, they can huddle in a massive field and not survive. I suppose this "prophet" owning a container company had absolutely nothing to do with his suggestion. Nah!

And what about the tsunami 5 days later? Won't they need some kind of floatation device that can ride the 560ft waves over the remaining half of Taiwan, China, Russia and western Europe? Shipping containers float about as well as cement shoes. At least offer some arm floaties man or some of those blow up rings with ducky heads.

Aside from all this...whose actually following this guy? Whose buying into this?  Now that scares me more than an apocalyptic earthquake and tsunami.

Navy SEALs Get Bin Laden

You gotta love these guys. Not only are the SEALs the most highly trained soldiers in the entire US military, but they are the most elite. When the Boogeyman goes to sleep every night, he checks his closet for SEALs. The Navy SEALs have already been to Mars. That's why there's no signs of life there. They're so bad they even have their own special forces elite dogs that can parachute and/or rappel at a moments notice. These dogs were used in the bin Laden raid.

According to the news, they moved in so fast, the Pakistani military base, only 100 yards away, had no idea what was going on. By the time the fight was over, the SEALs had taken Bin Laden's body, collected other "treasure troves" from the house and blew up a stalled Black Hawk helicopter before the Pakistani military could blink. The military base was still assembling and getting their jets in the air when the SEALs were already long gone and in safe airspace. Only after they were gone was the Pakistan government informed of what had just taken place.The SEALs also trained in a built to scale replica of bin Laden's house for months before the raid. They didn't know at the time who they were being trained for. It wasn't until just before the actual raid were they told who the "target" was.

The Navy SEALs weren't sent to capture Osama. I don't care what some politician says. They were sent only to kill him. They're trained killers and only show up for the big targets. These guys will take out women and children if they have to, to carry out orders. Their identity isn't completely confidential for nothing. When they were approaching bin Laden's room, he stuck his head out the door and a SEAL fired at his head and missed. 2 little girls came running from the room and one SEAL grabbed them and got them out of the way. They hit the room,  shot bin Laden's wife in the leg, who Osama pushed at them, then they killed bin Laden. One interesting fact is out all the things they needed and brought with them....they all forgot measuring tape. One 6 foot SEAL laid down next to bin Laden's body for a picture as a quick estimate as to how tall bin Laden was.

3.The majority of Navy SEALs will train upwards of 52 weeks before becoming an official Navy SEAL!  This makes the Navy SEALs the most trained soldiers in the United States military.

4.There are no female Navy SEALs and has never been a single female Navy SEAL in the history of the Navy SEALs.

5.As of 2009 there have been less than 11,000 individuals who have gained the title of Navy SEAL!  These numbers make the Navy SEALs even more elite!

Osama's Dead

As Christians we have to remember that God takes no pleasure in the death of the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11) and not to rejoice when an enemy falls (Proverbs 24:17). Any chance of repentance he had while breathing is lost forever. Instead, every moment he lived was a moment he filled his cup of wrath. Osama died expecting rewards of martyrdom and opened his eyes in hell. I don't wish hell on anyone, but God's justice is being served now

Update on this....according to the News reports from those who viewed the footage of the Navy Seals operation they tape from cameras on their headgear, Osama grabbed a woman and tried to use her as a shield when the NS broke in. My Pastor said recently "You can tell a lot about a person how they die." And it's true. He consigned so many to their deaths even those doing his bidding but in the end Osama was just a coward.
